See the real "Victorian Farm" - visit Acton Scott Working Farm

The highly successful BBC 2 ‘Victorian Farmseries was filmed within easy reach of all our members, at and around the popular Acton Scott Historic Working Farm and many of the locations can be seen from a visit. This is a favourite attraction for visitors to South Shropshire and all our members are delighted to be able to offer entry concessions for guests during this year.

The Victorian Farm TV  series saw the restoration of  a derelict building on the estate into an authentic 19th century farm labourer's house. The programme followed the labourers living life with no 'mod cons' and farming without tractors and using only traditional skills and implements. A visit to Acton Scott is always full of interest and visitors can view practical demonstrations of our farming heritage.

Acton Scott is open from 7th April to 1st November and appeals to all ages. It offers a fascinating experience of farm and country life on a Shropshire hill farm in Victorian times. Please ask individual accommodation providers for details of entry concessions available and mention this web site.
